Good afternoon friends! I’m excited to start blogging, and I have to admit I’ve never done this before. I mean I’m the kind of person who only has a Pinterest and LinkedIn page. Of course, you won’t find me on either medium with my current username. I also got rid of my Facebook account years ago because I felt I was watching people live their best lives, and I wasn’t living my own. Anyhow, I digress. I’m going to share with you all the reason I titled this entry “I Knew Better”.

“Always proofread.” This was something every English teacher I’ve ever had in life told me in school. Always proofread. And yet, I didn’t do that when registering my domain name. So, what happened you ask? Well, when registering my domain name I misspelled millennial by writing millenial [sic]. So, I purchased a domain with an incorrect spelling. This would be a minor oversight if it weren’t for the fact that I don’t like misspelled words, or when people misspell a word because it’s a homophone (ex. there, they’re, and their). But, what’s the one thing I didn’t do before registering my domain name? The one thing I’ve been told to do repeatedly from kindergarten all the way through college? Proofread. I knew better, and yet, I didn’t do better. Long story short, I now own two domain names one with the proper spelling and one with the incorrect spelling. So, before I close out, I would just like to say I will be proofreading my work prior to posting. However, I invite and welcome suggestions for improvement. Thanks!
